International Project Developer Negotiable Salary & Package Permanent
Our client is a key renewable energy developer across Europe. They are actively seeking an International project developer with experience at identifying and assessing potential opportunities for solar PV ground mounted projects across Europe. This role will be identifying emerging European markets for PV projects, and representing the company brand to build commercial exposure. The ideal candidate will have a full understanding of both the technical development of PV plants and the commercial development. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in project development of solar PV plants and a strong understanding of the negotiations, permitting and land acquisition process. To be considered the candidate must be a European Citizen.
The role will be based remotely from home with regular travel to meet co developers, landowners and regional officials.
The Role;
  • Identification and securing of suitable sites for projects
  • Identifying and analysing established markets and emerging markets for PV projects
  • Developing contacts within emerging markets, connecting investors and co developers with the company
  • Build network across multiple European countries to increase the company pipeline
  • Assessment of potential locations considering planning law, the approvability, construction of large ground mount projects
  • Regular travel between European countries, assessing market conditions
  • Negotiating with landowners and other relevant personnel
  • Initiation and implementation of approval procedures
  • Building a network with authorities and landowners for potential sites and projects
  • Proactive approach to contacting landowners and local authorities
  • Experience in professional negotiations
  • Controlling and managing local co-developers professionally in accordance with internal processes

  • Project development experience in the solar sector within Europe
  • European Citizenship
  • Strong experience at building a network and maintaining relationships with relative authorities
  • EPC solar project development experience is essential
