Are you a project developer looking for a new role in Germany? If so, then our client is looking for you.

If you want to work with one of the oldest and market leading Solar PV companies in Germany then our client is for you. They have been operating in the solar sector for 40 years, laying the foundations for the development of solar energy in Germany. This would give you the chance to learn the industry from market leading experts in the field.

You need to have project development experience in Germany to be suitable for this role, but you could have gained this experience in the solar industry, wind industry or real estate development industry.

They have ambitious plans to grow their solar development team and are hence looking for several Project Developers, throughout Germany. You could be a part of this strategic growth within the business, helping their business achieve their ambitious development targets within Germany.

During the role you would be responsible for the following activities:

  • You would be searching for ground-mounted PV sites in Germany.
  • You would work with local municipalities with issues regarding citizen participation, tenders, and PPAs.
  • You would need to conduct negotiations and contracts with land owners.
  • You would be in charge of organising contracts related to the project, including urban development, implementation contracts and rights of way etc.
  • You would be responsible for organising land permits within governments.
  • You would be the point of contact as well as the person who would present the projects at meetings with owners, residents and municipalities.

Your ideal profile or background would be:

  • To be able to speak German fluently.
  • Be able to negotiate with local landowners and manage local stakeholders through the development process.
  • Have some form of project development experience, ideally in solar but if not in a transferable industry such as the wind industry or the real estate sector.
  • To be able to identify new sites and opportunities for solar development projects.
  • Knowledge of local permitting rules in Germany.
